Phi Phi Islands
Thailand's most famous islands, about 45km from Phuket.
Getting There: Speedboat (45 min) or ferry (2 hours) Cost: ฿1,500-3,500 depending on tour type Highlights:
- Maya Bay (The Beach filming location)
- Pileh Lagoon for swimming and snorkeling
- Monkey Beach
- Viking Cave
Tips:
- Maya Bay has visitor limits - book ahead
- Sunrise/sunset tours avoid crowds
- Overnight stay on Phi Phi Don is recommended
Similan Islands
World-class diving and snorkeling (seasonal).

- Go early to avoid crowds at the island

Coral Island (Koh Hey)
Easy day trip for families.
Getting There: 15 min speedboat from Rawai Cost: ฿800-1,500 Highlights:
- Clear water, easy swimming
- Water sports (parasailing, banana boat)
- Beach restaurants
Tips:
- Very touristy but convenient
- Good for families with kids
- Beach chairs and umbrellas available
Racha Islands
Crystal clear water, less crowded than Phi Phi.
Getting There: 30 min speedboat from Chalong Cost: ฿1,500-3,000 Highlights:
- Racha Yai - main island, resorts
- Racha Noi - diving only, no accommodation
- Some of Thailand's clearest water
Tips:
- Great for diving beginners
- Overnight stays available on Racha Yai
