Phuket has limited public transport, so knowing your options is essential.

Motorbike Rental

The most popular way to explore Phuket.

Daily Rental: ฿200-400 Requirements: International or Thai license (often not checked) Tips:

  • Always wear a helmet
  • Drive carefully - roads can be steep and winding
  • Check the bike thoroughly before renting
  • Take photos of any existing damage
  • Fill up at gas stations, not roadside bottles

Taxis & Tuk-Tuks

Expensive compared to other Thai destinations.

Tuk-Tuks: ฿200-500+ depending on distance Taxis: Rarely use meters, negotiate first Airport Taxis: Fixed prices, booths in arrival hall

Tip: Always agree on price before getting in!

Available in Phuket but can be inconsistent.
